Mainers gathered in Augusta Thursday under one common cause: taxing the rich.
They lobbied at the State House for what they call “what most Mainers want.”
By taxing the state’s wealthiest, they say that money could go toward programs like child care, health care and housing.
Supporters included parents, retirees and other community members.
